Ultrasonic sealing

Ultrasonic sealing delivers mechanical energy which when transferred to a thermoplastic material under pressure fuses the material.

Ultrasonic sealing creates a fluid proof seal between compatible thermoplastic materials. No tooling is required for ultrasonic sealing and the process requires no solvents or thread.

Ultrasonic sealing is used in the assembly of healthcare, industrial, and consumer products such as mattresses and protective covers.

Ultrasonic sealing results in a fluid-proof construction and therefore reduces the chance of the mattress interior being soiled, which can cause odors and damage. Materials that are sealed ultrasonically are protected from fluid ingress and soilage.
